T-cell epitopes are the building blocks of proteins on antigen-presenting cells that trigger an immune response after T-cell recognition and binding. The identification of these epitopes is critical for the development of effective immune disease therapies. The process of identifying specific peptide sequences on an antigen that elicits an immune response by binding to antibodies or MHC molecules is called epitope mapping and usually involves T cells and antibodies. Epitope mapping of ex vivo T cells can determine the precise location, number, and size of T cell epitopes, which can be used to aid deimmunization and help reduce the risk of clinical immunogenicity. Epitope identification requires high-throughput systematic screening of antigens, but the antigen's own structure (conformation, binding domain) may influence this work.  However, the development of T-cell therapeutic targets relies on a comprehensive understanding of the antigen, so epitope mapping by peptide libraries is necessary. Peptide libraries used to display multiple short linear peptide fragments can be used to infer specific T cell epitopes, some highly sensitive information that can help reduce the risk of clinical immunogenicity.

Featured T Cell Epitope Mapping Service

We provide researchers with T-cell epitope mapping services to help researchers tap more potential knowledge and accelerate the development of new treatments and drugs. This service is based on featured peptide libraries. The identification of T cell epitopes is critical for the development of effective immune disease therapies, and peptide libraries are designed so that overlapping fragments of the entire antigen are displayed. T cell cultures or purified receptors are then added to the library for testing, and the identification of properties is assessed by flow cytometry and other cellular assays.
